Surprise Murder Mystery

I was looking through the games you suggested for the murder mystery surprise parties and the one that struck me was The Final Curtain.

I was curious, does that game have a detective character? It seems that having the guest of honor play a detective with no pertinent backstory to the murder plot would be a good way to incorporate the guest of honor.

They could easily get into character and wouldn't have to learn a whole character synopsis; just ask questions to the characters.

Do you have any more information you can share about that game or insight to creating an additional character like a detective?

Then the rest of us who are on in the surprise can be the characters and work to reveal/hide the necessary clues.

Thanks so much for your time!

My response:

The Final Curtain does indeed have a detective character - Inspector Blewitt. However, they do not appear until the murder has taken place as the murder victim and the inspector are played by the same person.

This might be a lot of fun for your guest of honor, though.
