I live in an huge, old house (it was a rural school)...it has a pretty big attic, where nuns washed their clothes once upon a time. A perfect fit for a spirit/ghost filled night.
I'd like to know if you have any scenarios that will fit that. Planning on doing it for Halloween.
One problem may occur... My friends and I are in our late 20s, like to laugh and to party... Some of us can be serious, but I'm afraid some will take too many drinks and let their character dies. Is not inviting them the only solution?
It's my first time and I want it to be a success.
My response:
Sounds like a great place for a party!
Unfortunately I can't think of any ghostly games for Halloween, but it sounds like it would suit something like Dazzled to Death.
(You don't say how many friends you will have, so I can't tell if Dazzled to Death will work for you. So I've added a link below to my page listing Halloween-themed games.)
As for your friends who may drink too much, if you can predict who they are, then I suggest that you give them one of the less central roles (one of the optional characters, say).

Backstage Business - a 1980s rock music themed murder mystery for 18-22 guests.
Here's my suggested quick route through the site:
Step 1 - Go to Choosing a Game to choose the game that suits your party best.
Step 2 - Review the Tips for Hosts for helpful advice.
