Play in Public?

I'm hosting a 40th birthday celebration for my husband at Lodge Hotel.

We'll spend most of one evening in the restaurant/bar.

Are the games appropriate to play in public, with others (waiters, etc) occasionally interacting with us?

Thank you.

My response:

I assume that you have checked with the hotel and they are happy for you to do this. That's really your first step.

Apart from that, I think the only thing to watch with playing in public is that if you choose a game that has combat in it (such as Way out West) you are very careful not to include replica weapons in your costuming.

(The games with combat include simple rules to adjudicate it should it happen.)

I suspect your main problem will be fending off interested onlookers, however - but that might be a good thing!

Good luck and I would love to hear how it goes.
