I am planning on organising one of your recommended games for between 12 and 15 people for a birthday party dinner in a few months for my partner's 54th birthday. Everyone invited is university-educated, and most of us have met each other through a now 74-year-old philosophy professor who orchestrates many of our events. We are writers, film directors, Editors, Architects, academics and curators.
We all love to dress up and are foodies. We are all love playing games and are performers at heart.
The game will be staged in our large open plan 2 bedroom garden unit with ample covered outdoor space even in rain.
A professional chef will cater it with high-quality finger food. There will be wait staff and a bar.
I think the more creativity asked of the participants the better.
I am leaning towards "The Food is To Die For" but I would really value your input.
My response
The Food is to Die For is a good idea, but I would also suggest you look at The Karma Club, which I think is probably a little more creative.
(I wish you had a few more guests so that I could recommend Hollywood Lies, which is extremely creative as the players create movies and act out a short scene or skit at the end as a "trailer".)
I hope that helps - and I hope you have a good party.
Backstage Business - a 1980s rock music themed murder mystery for 18-22 guests.
Here's my suggested quick route through the site:
Step 1 - Go to Choosing a Game to choose the game that suits your party best.
Step 2 - Review the Tips for Hosts for helpful advice.
Step 3 - If you want to keep up to date with the latest murder mystery game news, click on my What's New page.
Step 4 - Once you've had your party - tell me how it went! Click here to tell me your murder mystery party story.
